Recovery Plans
Every homeless person enrolled into LIFESIGN has a custom Recovery Plan that works like a road map to getting the homeless person off the streets permanently. The Recovery Plan is unique and varies widely, depending on the homeless person's condition, environment, personal losses, and circumstances. During the initial phase of enrollment, a member of the LIFESIGN team will work together with the homeless person to design the best approach and solution for recovery. The Recovery Plan is a written document and agreement between the homeless person and LIFESIGN.

Rather than giving your money directly to the homeless person, LIFESIGN has a more effective and organized approach using the Recovery Plan. The Recovery Plan eliminates the possibility of your money donation to be lost, stolen, used for the wrong purposes, or simply wasted for non-recovery purposes. These plans are essential for organizing the relief and delivering the recovery efforts to the homeless person. Without your financial donation, their recovery plan will idle and be ineffective.

With each financial donation received for a homeless person, LIFESIGN will immediately use the money toward their Recovery Plan putting it to action. Based on the size and amounts of money donations received, recovery may involve short term objectives of food supply, medical aid, survival tools, and shelter, or long term objectives, such as job training, therapy, legal counsel, and other related services.

The categories on the right are made available to the homeless person to choose when designing his or her Recovery Plan. Your money donation may go to any one of these Recovery Plan categories, depending on the homeless person's current condition and needs. LIFESIGN is always coming up with new categories to meet the needs of a specific homeless person. These categories are never limited in size, services, nor creativity. The final approval of these categories with each Recovery Plan comes from the homeless person.

In addition to the Recovery Plans LIFESIGN creates for each homeless person, LIFESIGN also created a General Fund, called the LIFESIGN GFund, which is used for depositing general donations that are not given to any specific homeless person. However, if contact is lost between LIFESIGN and the homeless person for over six consecutive weeks and no donations have been received within that six week time persion, any money or Recovery Plan Assets waiting for action toward their LIFESIGN ID may be transferred afterward to the GFund and be re-allocated to another homeless person or used for general purposes for LIFESIGN. This is clearly explained and agreed upon, prior to the homeless persons enrollment.

Therapy
Therapy for a homeless person simply reduces their suffering from days, months, or years of living on the streets. The mental illness, confusion and animalistic behaviors that come from living on the streets is like a disease that needs immediate treatment through therapy. The reality of recovery for so many homeless people is incomprensible and requires special attention for adapting to a recovery state. Therapy first starts with love and friendship, and is carefully designed around specialty therapy treatments. Physical therapy is also essential for recovery, because the homeless body endures enormous physical pressure, pain and suffering with starvation. Your donation is needed to help the homeless person with therapy. If you specialize in any type of therapy, LIFESIGN needs your help.
